C. difficile Initiative
Lake Superior QIN and nursing homes across the region are partnering in an initiative aimed at preparing facilities for future quality reporting requirements, advancing infection control practices, and having a positive impact on resident outcomes. Participating homes are using the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s national standard for C. difficile tracking through the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), as well as receiving education and tools for infection control and prevention across all healthcare-associated infections.
